This Colombian inspired soap uses authentic Colombian coffe as a gentle exfoliator while soothing your skin with our signature moss gel. It also takes you on a night out in Bogotá with an anise scent, which is used to make the Colombian spirit Aguardiente. This spice smells similar to licorice with a slight chocolatey-coffee scent.
Aguardiente came to Colombia when the Spanish colonized the new world, bringing their distilling practices with them. Colombia gained its independence in 1819 and became The Republic of Colombia in 1886, but Aguardiente remained an integral part of the culture. Aguardiente became Colombia’s national spirit in 1905 when the Cédula de aguardiente policy was established which gave every Colombian department the right to produce the drink. ¡Viva Colombia! 🇨🇴🎉
*This has a forward scent of star anise which is very much like licorice with a back scent of chocolatey coffee. If you don’t like licorice or star anise I wouldn’t recommend this soap.
